Our Survival Plan for Fitness, Fun & Future!
3 PROBLEMS
A member told me he has no idea what to do with himself. He has no spouse, kids, or pet, and now because of Corona, he can’t see coworkers or friends. He was freaking about Nosotros closing. In brutal honesty, this is an incredibly trying time for me. But I’m keeping faith. I’ve been contemplating three problems since our closure last Monday: How do you stay fit when you can’t have a gym? How do you have fun when you can’t see people? And how do you look forward to the future when you can’t make plans? We have solutions to these problems and you can take part in all of it!
Starting April 1, Nosotros will be offering members three social distance services while we’re closed:
Climbing on our Sanitized Solo Wall
Giveaways
Video Conference Groups
3 SERVICES
1. Climbing
Nosotros has a 4.5’ x 9’ mobile climbing wall that holds 6-7 boulder routes of different difficulties. It will be stationed outdoors in the Lakewood front lawn of a Nosotros setter. This allows us to reset new routes every week. Our wall will be outfitted with padding, rain protection, disinfectant and a full range of climbing shoes. We’ll ensure social distancing through our scheduling app. Climbers can make appointments for their solo session, and will solely be responsible for sanitizing the wall before and after use.
2. Giveaways
Nosotros will have a group chat so we can share cabin fever tips and giveaway announcements. We’ll be giving away chalk, t-shirts, and chalk bags to randomly selected members every Friday! We’ll also be awarding each member either two or four free day passes - more on that below.
3. Video Conference Groups
We have a weekly schedule of group meetings lead by certified professionals via a video conference platform called Zoom. Participants will log in to visually follow along. It will feel as if you’re in the same space. We have incredible group leaders, to include a seasoned strength coach and a prior yoga studio owner. Some of these classes typically cost $80, but for Nosotros members it’s free! All our leaders’ bios are in the FAQs below!
3 OPTIONS
We love our members and want to make sure they aren’t losing out. Those with two-week trial and yearly memberships, check our FAQs below. Those with monthly memberships, here’s your three options for the month of April:
Option 1 - Members can freeze their April dues for free
Option 2 - Members can pay half their April dues
Option 3 - Members can pay all their April dues
To members who choose Option 1, we can freeze your membership for free. You can simply unfreeze it when the gym reopens and pick up where you left off without losing a penny. Although, we can only offer the three services above to members who continue with dues.
To members who choose Option 2 and will be paying half their April dues, you’ll be awarded our first two services, climbing and giveaways, plus two free day passes for your guests!
To members who choose Option 3 and will be paying all their April dues, you’ll be awarded all three services, climbing, giveaways, and video conference groups, plus four free day passes for your guests!
Here’s the truth, Nosotros needs to adapt to survive. Here’s the beauty, we’ve already had three members say they’re so excited about our social distance services. This. Sincerely. Brings us. To tears. Even though we can’t make a profit, we can be a profit to our people! Thank you for choosing the option that serves you best. Feel free to check our FAQs to inform your choice!

9 FAQs
Is Nosotros in jeopardy of going out of business?
As of now, we are not in jeopardy of closing. Although, we are a nonprofit who not only promotes community but depends on it. If the lockdown persists, we will have to consider our options to determine what is best for the gym and it’s dependents. Here’s what we do know, we’ve worked incredibly hard to package these new social distance services for our members, believing they’ll be truly valuable at a time like this!
You said that you have solutions for fitness, fun, and future. Please explain that again?
Our Sanitized Solo Wall provides the best fitness ever, climbing! Our giveaways are fun! And our video conference groups will be a schedule for our near future! For those of you who like to plan and know what’s next, these services put the normal back in our lives.

In regards to climbing the Sanitized Solo Wall, how again will you ensure social distancing? How will you make sure the wall is clean by the time I get there? And do you have a picture of this wall?
We have a scheduling feature on our website that only allows one person to reserve the wall at a time. Thus, people will be climbing solo and safely, as the wall is short and padded for protection. This keeps with the most recent Governor order, that we can be outside, just not in groups. Furthermore, we’ll have disinfectant and alcohol wipes for climbers to sanitize the wall and shoes before and after use. If a climber reports that there seems to be a problem with the wall, Nosotros has a plan for accountability. We will check our schedule and question the last person who scheduled a climbing session. As for a picture of this wall, one is provided below.
In regards to the video conference groups, is the Zoom platform free? Will other people see me in these video conferences? And will these class leaders have good personalities?
Yes, Zoom is free. You can choose if you’d like other people to see you in the video conferences or not. Although, allowing others to see you will provide a greater sense of community. The leaders of these groups have great personalities. In addition to passion and experience, they were chosen because they’re exceptional with people.
Can I see the schedule for the video conference groups? And what are leaders’ bios?
An example of the weekly schedule is below. The times may be subject to change based off popular vote. Workouts are lead by Cassie Prenger, a strength coach for the past seven years, working with places like The Ohio State University. Yoga is lead by Erica Cambarare who owned and sold her Amherst yoga studio. Ab workouts is lead by Peter Stancato, Founder of Nosotros, who will also be hosting an evening fireside chat about the highs and lows of your week. Nosotros volunteer and youth pastor, Nate Vogel, is having fun biblical discussions for any and all, we’re calling it Home Church! Nosotros volunteer and Structural Engineer, Will McCrone, is leading a book club on the tragic Mt. Everest expedition, “Into Thin Air”. Nosotros volunteer, Nate Knerem, will be leading a Minecraft gaming night. And Headsetter, Adam Smith, is leading our mindfullness group, that will include meditation and motivation!
What if Nosotros is closed in May too?
Another email will be sent out at the end of April. It will recap our successes and give you the chance to resubmit your answer regarding your dues. We want to be sure we’re serving you well!
What if I have more questions?!
